Lakewood, CO | Full-Time Preferred (Part-Time Considered) Schafer Environmental Consulting Inc. (Schafer) is a small, growing environmental consulting firm based in Lakewood, Colorado. We are a full-service environmental consulting company specializing in asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold consulting, with additional services including radon testing, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and other industrial hygiene tasks. We are currently seeking an Environmental Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with previous experience looking to build a long-term career in environmental consulting. What You'll Do As an Environmental Technician, you will support a variety of field and reporting activities, including: Performing asbestos inspections and air sampling Conducting lead-based paint, mold, and radon sampling Assisting with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments Completing technical reports following fieldwork Traveling to different job sites most days (local and regional) This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and Owner and does not include supervisory responsibilities.
What We're Looking For Required:
Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites Preferred (not required): Associate or bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related scientific field Relevant certifications, such as:
Certified Asbestos Building Inspector Certified Air Monitoring Specialist Certified Asbestos Project Designer Certified Lead-Based Paint Inspector Certified Mold Inspector Certified Radon Measurement Professional Pay & Benefits Annual Salary:
$52,000 to $75,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience
