(NEB), a leading woman-owned aquatic toxicity laboratory, is seeking a Seasonal Laboratory Technician to join our team. We are looking for either a full-time or part-time candidate. This temporary position begins in early July and runs through October . Recent college graduates or current college students pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Marine Science, or a related field are encouraged to apply. NEB performs aquatic toxicity testing on wastewater samples to help protect aquatic organisms and the environment.

Responsibilities include:

Setting up and monitoring aquatic toxicity tests Performing wet chemistry analyses on wastewater samples Culturing and maintaining aquatic test organisms Recording and maintaining accurate laboratory data Following standard operating procedures and quality assurance protocols

Requirements:

Background in environmental science, biology, marine science, or a related field preferred Willingness to participate in a rotating schedule for weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed Good vision for counting small aquatic organisms Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and move water samples Please include your availability (days and hours) on your resume when applying.
