DOE | Extensive Florida Travel Get Out of the Office. Get Into the Field. EnviroTrac is looking for an experienced Environmental Field Technician who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, operating equipment, and supporting environmental projects throughout Florida. This is a 99% field-based position with travel across Florida, from the Keys to Jacksonville and beyond. If you're mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and comfortable working in changing field conditions, we want to hear from you. The Ideal Candidate You're the person who would rather be in the field than behind a desk. You enjoy troubleshooting equipment, working outdoors, leading by example, and taking ownership of getting the job done safely and correctly. What You'll Do Environmental Field Work Soil and groundwater sampling Monitoring well installations Soil borings and field investigations Site assessments and remediation support Field screening and data collection Drilling & Project Support Coordinate drilling subcontractors Verify utility locates and permits Support project execution in the field Troubleshoot field challenges Maintain project schedules and quality Documentation Complete field notes and boring logs Document site conditions and observations Maintain chain-of-custody records Communicate field updates to project teams Safety Conduct JSAs and tailgate meetings Work safely around drilling and heavy equipment Follow all company and client safety requirements Exercise Stop Work Authority when necessary What We're Looking For 4+ years of environmental field experience Environmental consulting or remediation experience preferred Experience with drilling oversight and sampling Working knowledge of FDEP field procedures Mechanically inclined and hands-on Strong problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Work Environment 99% outdoor field work Florida travel required Overnight travel as needed All-weather work environment Ability to lift 50 lbs.
