Environmental Technician Environmental Services Department at Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) The Environmental Services (EVS) department at Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) is integral to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care in one of the state's most dynamic healthcare environments. As the only Level I Trauma Center in the state of Florida, ORMC operates at the highest level of clinical intensity—requiring unmatched precision, responsiveness, and collaboration from every department. Our EVS team is at the forefront of maintaining a clean, safe, and healing environment, with a strong focus on infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and service excellence. The department supports 24/7 hospital operations in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting, ensuring that every space reflects the highest standards of care.
Position Summary:
The Environmental Services Technician level I is responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, clean, healing environment. Responsible for ensuring daily room cleaning and timely room turnaround times related to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. The Environmental Services Technician, in accordance with organizational standards of quality, is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention, and customer experience.
