Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Field Sampling Technician to join our environmental laboratory team. The position is with Benchmark EnviroAnalytical Laboratory, an environmental company providing sampling and environmental services in in Palmetto since 1992. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and documenting environmental samples of surface water, storm water, ground water and sediment and soil from various outdoor sites to support compliance with environmental regulations and project objectives. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring environmental safety, regulatory adherence, and data integrity across multiple projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop technical skills, and make a tangible impact on environmental protection initiatives. Field sampling experience is helpful but not required. An excellent driving record is required. Pay range is dependent on experience and technical qualifications. Responsibilities The field sampling position's primary responsibility is providing excellent sampling service to clientele including: Conduct field sampling of water, soil, and waste materials in accordance with project protocols and environmental regulations Operate and maintain sampling equipment, including pumps, meters, and laboratory instruments, ensuring accuracy and safety. Document sampling procedures meticulously and maintain detailed field logs Maintain and follow a monthly schedule of clientele sampling events with dates and times Construction of field sampling reporting forms Collection of sampling costs from clients who do not have established accounts with

Required training and skills include:
  • B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Biology or Chemistry
  • Knowledge of environmental laboratory operations and field sampling protocols
  • A Florida Drivers License in good standing is required

$26.00 - $32.00 per hour
