An Environmental Technician assists with testing and sampling or monitoring needed for environmental clean-up efforts or projects to mitigate environmental pollution. Assists environmental engineers or environmental scientists. Collects air, water or soil samples, operates field test equipment and conducts laboratory research. Coordinates work at sites with contaminated soil or water, or hazardous waste clean-up sites.

Job Description

Responsibilities Field work responsibilities may include UST removals, environmental drilling (soil borings and groundwater monitoring well installation), soil and groundwater sampling, storm water sampling, waste disposal, system O&M, etc. Maintain a safe work environment at all times. Adhere to Company and Client's SOPs and policies related to site health and safety. Qualifications Previous environmental experience preferred. UST removal and demolition experience a plus. Ability to operate heavy equipment. Good written and verbal communication skills. Flexibility for overnight travel and work outside normal work hours based on client project requirements. 40-hour
HAZWOPER
training preferred, but not required. Must pass drug test, physical, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record. Willing to work in inclement weather conditions.
EOE Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
