Job DescriptionField Services Team LeadAre you a safety-driven environmental professional who thrives in the field and enjoys leading a high-performing team? We are seeking an Environmental Field Services Team Leader to oversee environmental sampling operations across NY, NJ, PA, and DE, supporting projects at industrial facilities, landfills, remediation sites, ports, and onboard ocean-going vessels.

This is a player-coach role where you will lead a team of Environmental Field Technicians while remaining actively involved in field sampling, customer engagement, project coordination, and operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform environmental sampling and field measurements at a variety of sites, including landfills, Superfund/remediation sites, industrial facilities, and vessels in portCoordinate the daily field activities, schedules, and resources of a team of Field TechniciansInterface directly with clients to ensure exceptional service and project executionMaintain accurate field records, chain-of-custody documentation, and regulatory compliancePromote and enforce a strong safety culture with zero compromise on safe work practicesIdeal ExperienceEnvironmental sampling experience involving groundwater, monitoring wells, drinking water, wastewater, soil, air, emissions, and composite samplingWorking knowledge of NJDEP and other regional environmental sampling requirements and best practicesExperience leading field personnel and coordinating multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong organizational, communication, and customer-service skillsCommitment to quality, documentation, and sample integrity through strict adherence to GLP and SOPsQualificationsAssociate's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of environmental field sampling experiencePrior supervisory or team leadership experience preferredAbility to safely lift up to 40 lbs and work in industrial, marine, and outdoor environmentsValid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the regionWe're looking for someone who is conscientious, detail-oriented, obsessed with safety, passionate about environmental field work, and committed to developing a strong team while delivering exceptional service to our clients.

CompensationThe expected hourly range for this position is $27 - $32 hourly. This range represents the minimum and maximum base hourly rate we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
