Job Title:
Summer 2027 Intern-Facilities Intern -
Technology & HQ Summary:
The Technology Facilities Summer Intern will be a key member of the Technology team, working between the Waterford and Niskayuna Sites, in support of critical maintenance activities and capital project implementation. The Technology Facilities Intern will lead numerous initiatives, drive process improvements, and identify cost control opportunities.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Waterford Technology Waste Reduction, Consolidation & Systems Improvements Identify improvement opportunities for a safe and efficient waste collection and management processes (Haz, non-haz, & lab trash). Identify and implement waste reduction opportunities Serve as a team member on an Exposure Reduction team focusing on waste management. 2.
Lead Portions of Small and Mid-Size CapEx Projects:
B12 Lab Lighting Upgrades Niskayuna West Wing Roof Repairs Niskayuna HVAC PM Reliability B12 Lab Equipment Installation & Commissioning (TBD based on 2027 Projects) 3.
EHS Focused Improvements:
Plan and Facilitate Safet Governance Council Chemical Hygiene Plan - review & update
ISO Audit Preparations Qualifications:
The following are required for the role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Independent worker with excellent time management skills Technical & Mechanical aptitude for evaluating and solving complex problems in both industrial and laboratory settings.
Program Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship. The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.

Base Pay Range:
$22.00 - $26.00 The base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
