Job Overview Join our team as a Part-time Landfill Inspector and play a vital role in maintaining environmental safety at the local landfill. In this energetic position, you will oversee landfill activities, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to environmental stewardship while working outdoors in a dynamic setting. This is a permanent part-time position Monday - Friday with working hours of 12 pm to 6 pm, hours may vary if needed. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of landfill sites to monitor waste placement, cover, and environmental compliance Ensure safe operation of heavy equipment by adhering to safety regulations and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) protocols Monitor landfill operations for potential hazards or violations, reporting issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance Document inspections, equipment usage, and environmental conditions accurately Other duties as assigned. Requirements Must work well independently. Outdoor work experience in environments requiring physical activity and heavy lifting Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and use PPE effectively Strong attention to detail with excellent observational skills for site inspections Join us in making a positive impact on the environment!
