Job Description

Gillmann Services is seeking motivated individuals to fill Field Technician positions with varying backgrounds in the Environmental field work that has performed work on HAZWOPER and/or Industrial sites. A Field Technician will support a wide variety of environmental field services and project support. Resume must demonstrate an experience performing the listed or otherwise related duties. As a filed technician, employees have the ability to learn, train, grow and advance in a team oriented work environment. Essential Functions Daily duties may include, but are not limited to: Operation of machinery, pumps and hoses Erosion control installation Handling waste drums, waste segregation Landscaping, mowing Sample collection Stormwater HDPE piping General Sitework Spill response Decontamination Waste clean-up Site remediation and/or restoration Waste management Understanding of written and oral instruction Adjust quickly and effectively to changing conditions and demands Conscientious of Safety, Quality, and Teamwork Required Eligibility Qualifications Valid Driver's License Able to obtain form of identification compliant with the
R.E.A.L. I.D.
standards Clean Driving Record Pass DOD/DOE background check for site access/clearance Pass pre-employment and random DOT and/or Non-DOT drug and alcohol screening Ability to pass
HAZWOPER
Fit for Duty physical and PFT Graduation from a standard vocational or high school Some experience as a trade's helper, laborer, technician or any equivalent Experience in site cleanup, remediation, and/or landscaping type activities (preferred) Reliable transportation to and from work and the ability to fulfill varying beginning and ending shift times Must be able to: Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis Pass pre-employment physical Sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance and spend the majority of the day in a non-seated position Physically capable of wearing a respirator (pass Pulmonary and FIT Test) and not possess symptoms of Claustrophobia (fear of confined spaces) or Acrophobia (fear of heights) If you are interested in this position please feel free to reach out to us @ 843-942-0700!
