An Environmental Technician assists with testing and sampling or monitoring needed for environmental clean-up efforts or projects to mitigate environmental pollution. Assists environmental engineers or environmental scientists. Collects air, water or soil samples, operates field test equipment and conducts laboratory research. Coordinates work at sites with contaminated soil or water, or hazardous waste clean-up sites.

Responsibilities :
Performs routine field environmental sampling of groundwater, storm water, soil, etc. Monitors, observes, samples, and records field environmental conditions. Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintains cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc. Prepares daily reports, data sheets, and technical report writing. Operates with moderate supervision. Assists with due diligence assessments (Phase I Environmental Site Assessments) and basic remedial investigation activities. Provides construction environmental oversight/monitoring related to soil and groundwater management plans. Conducts regulatory compliance reporting. Experience conducting or performing Property Condition Assessments a plus. Typical activities include, but are not limited to: map reading, maintain chain-of-custody forms, utilize equipment to measure field parameters, environmental site inspections, and field inspections for drilling access and general utility clearance.
Requirements:
B.S. in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Engineering or related field 0-5 years of experience in related field Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships Able to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast paced environment Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Ability to travel overnight, extended on occasion, sometimes with short notice. Overnight travel expected >60% Valid driver's license and good driving record
Physical Fitness:
