Summary -
Environmental Field Technician :
As an Environmental Field Technician, you will be gaining valuable field experience while supporting collection of specialized data from flow monitoring systems used to improve the city's water infrastructure. This need has been created in response to a year long project associated with collecting this data within the great Virginia Beach area. We are willing to consider candidates without experience. Environmental Field Technician:
Installation of flow monitoring systems within sewer lines. Installation of rainfall monitoring equipment. Input data into software systems which may include geographic information system software (GIS). Inspect sewer manholes manually or with telemonitoring equipment. Operate and maintain instruments and equipment. Accurately document inspections in a timely manner with detailed field notes. Adhere to all the safety requirements of the position while assisting team members to do the same. All other duties as assigned. Qualification Summary -
Environmental Field Technician:
High school diploma required; AS or BS degrees in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology or a related degree program welcomed Valid driver's license and clean driving record with the ability to operate a company vehicle Ability to detect, resolve and report equipment issues (strong electrical and mechanical aptitude preferred) Strong computer literacy with the ability to effectively utilize commonly used computer software programs (experience with GIS strongly preferred) Ability to perform all of the physical requirements of position Preferred experience/knowledge with field data collection #HP
