Job Description

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician to support our site's safety culture, environmental compliance, and chemical and waste operations. In this hands-on role, you'll help ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace by contributing to hazard identification, inspections, emergency preparedness, and responsible chemical and waste management. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and comfortable working across departments to promote a strong EHS culture.
Shift :
Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm
Pay :
$27-30/hr Duties Manage daily operations of chemical storage and waste areas in full compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous waste pickups with disposal vendors Safely move, stage, and manage drums and containers using approved handling methods Ensure accurate container labeling, including generating and replacing labels as needed Partner with internal teams to support waste disposition and chemical handling needs Maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready storage and work areas Conduct routine inspections of storage and accumulation areas; document findings and track corrective actions Enter, track, and manage data within EHS systems (waste tracking, chemical inventory, inspections, etc.) Inspect and perform basic maintenance on waste and storage systems (containment, eyewash/shower stations, ventilation, sumps) Identify, document, and escalate equipment deficiencies or maintenance needs Requirements 2+ years of experience in EHS, environmental operations, or a related field Strong attention to detail and ability to spot risks before they become problems Solid communication skills and a team-first mindset Working knowledge of Excel for tracking and reporting Physical capability to meet production demands, including: Extended standing or walking Routine movement and positioning Fine motor skills for handling small parts and tools Lifting up to 30 lbs., as required Eligibility to work in an ITAR-regulated environment Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen High school diploma or GED required
Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
