Physician | Infectious Disease and Hospital Epidemiologist | Duarte, CA Join one of the top cancer centers in the nation! Our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute seek to hire a full-time clinical faculty and Hospital Epidemiologist (Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor) for our Duarte, California Campus. We are seeking research and mission- minded physicians as every discovery we make and every new treatment we create, gives people the chance to live longer, better, and more fully.

For more information about the Division of Infectious Diseases , please visit here: Division of Infectious Diseases Join a dynamic group of 6 infectious diseases specialists and 1 APP The majority of time will be dedicated to Hospital Epidemiology (approximately 75%), as the lead Hospital Medical Epidemiologist with remaining time divided between inpatient and outpatient clinical service. At least 5-years of experience in Hospital Epidemiology is strongly preferred Clinical research opportunities abound and are encouraged, and research infrastructure exists within the Department The hospital is located on campus - Work out of one location Transplant infectious diseases exposure is preferred but not required DUTIES Will serve as the chief hospital epidemiologist and co-chair the infection control committee. Will liaison with infection prevention team and leadership to oversee the infection control program at Duarte campus and satellite sites. The charter will be shared during the interview process. Clinical time is divided between inpatient and outpatient services Robust opportunities for clinical research
Position Benefits:
Excellent benefits package, including a generous retirement contribution plan Relocation assistance may be available Base salary range : $210k - $250k (Assistant Clinical - Associate Clinical Professor)
•The salary range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits . Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

Qualifications Active or eligible for California medical license ABIM board certification in Infectious Disease Strong communication skills Experienced in leading policy and protocol development and implementation for hospital epidemiology and infection prevention and control with a special focus on cancer patients Experience in transplant infectious disease - program that is heavily focused toward immunocompromised host infections (hematologic malignancy/ HCT) 1-2 years working within hematologic malignancies
