Huntington Hospital Employee Login Expectations:
The Manager of Infection Control will have the authority and 24 hour responsibility for ensuring strategies are implemented to prevent avoidable healthcare associated infections, maintaining compliance with national standards and regulatory agencies including but not limited to TJC, OSHA, CMS, CDC/NHSN, California statues and other nationally organized recommendations and requirements, coordination and management of activities and resources for infection prevention and control. The Manager is trained in hospital epidemiology principles and is responsible for the department's functions related to surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of healthcare associated infections; educating employees about infection control prevention; the development of health system policies and procedures.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's in Nursing, B.S. Medical Technology, B.S. Biology-Medical Technology, Master's in Public Health, or Doctor of Medicine required. Master's degree in Nursing or Masters in Public Health preferred.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Minimum 3 years Manager level experience in Infection Control required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC)
Preferred:
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) issued by California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Medical Doctor (MD) license issued by the Medical Board of California (MBC) Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) issued by the
State of California SKILLS:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, electronic medical records and infection control databases. Experience in handling budgets, recruitment/retention and other staff related competencies. ‎

Pay Range:
The estimated base rate for this position is $149,656.00 - $217,006.40. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
