Full Job Description Overview:
Infection Preventionist:
Assist in development and implementing strategies to prevent, reduce and eliminate hospital associated infections. Coordinate hospital-wide infection prevention and control programs and address needs based on CDC guidelines, CMS, OSHA regulations, and Joint Commission Standards. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements. Employee Health (EH)
Nurse:
Assist in planning and coordinating in the hospital-wide Employee Health program based on hospital specific needs according to CDC guidelines, OSHA, and CALOSHA regulations, CMS requirements, Joint Commission standards. Coordinate EH programs for all healthcare workers and volunteers. Ensure compliance with regulatory initiatives and reporting relative to EH.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocation Nurse preferred. Two year experience in an acute care setting or hospital off-site medical facility, or equivalent. Experience in Occupational Health, Employee Health, Infection Control, or Quality Management preferred. Must possess intermediate to proficient computer literacy: emphasis on Microsoft office, word, Power Point, Excel, Access, outlook. Board Certified in Infection Prevention and Control preferred or must obtain within two years. Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with hospital departments and personnel, physicians, and patient/families.
