Be responsible for administering the Infection Prevention and Control Program in a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation / sub-acute care nursing center. Identify, investigate, report, prevent, and control the spread of acquired infections among residents, staff, and guests. You will manage and administer the centers COVID/Flu testing schedules as needed and educate staff on CDC updates, as well as ensure staff are educated in proper use of PPD. Serve as the center's knowledge specialist in CDC, Joint Commission, and Occupational Health standards, as well as federal and state regulations related to infection prevention and control in skilled nursing facilities Qualifications forRN Infection Prevention Control :
Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) required. RN Licensure in the state of practice Minimum one (1+) years nursing experience. Long-Term Care / Sub-Acute Care Nursing experience preferred. Experience in Infection Prevention and Control with knowledge of patient care practices. Completion of Infection Prevention training/IPCO Certification within 5 days of employment.Our Service Standards :

Graduate of an accredited school of NursingValid state licensure as an RN or LPNMinimum of two years' experience as an Infection Preventionist or related healthcare experience with knowledge of patient care practices, microbiology, infectious diseases, and epidemiology.Completion of Infection Prevention training/IPCO Certification prior to assuming the role.
CIC or APIC preferred.
