Job Description

Accountable for reducing the risk of the individuals within the hospital being exposed to infections. Essential Functions Establish and analyze infection control patient safety. Develop an operative system for documenting, recording illnesses and/or injuries, and educating physicians, employees, and the community on infection prevention control. Facilitate a facility-wide control plan. Participate in antimicrobial stewardship. Other duties as assigned by department leader. Job Requirements Current license as a Registered Nurse in Iowa. Current BLS with ACLS and PALS within one year. Mandatory reporter training. One year infection control experience is preferred. Required to complete all annual competency training and maintain license and/or certification.
