Infection Control and Staff Development RN Job Summary:
Mount Airy Nursing and Rehab, a leading provider of post-acute care, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infection Control and Staff Development RN to join our team in Mount Airy, Maryland. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our residents and patients. Infection Control and Staff Development RNs like you are essential to our organization's mission of "Serving with Pride."
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain effective infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections and diseases Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address areas for improvement in infection control practices Conduct training sessions and provide education to staff on infection control procedures and best practices Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection control guidelines and regulations Develop and maintain effective staff development programs to ensure ongoing education and training for all staff members Monitor and report on infection rates and trends, and make recommendations for improvement Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of care for our residents and patients
Requirements:
Current RN licensure in the state of Maryland Experience in infection control and staff development in a healthcare setting Strong understanding of infection control guidelines and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Infection control certified
