POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services, the Assistant Director of Nursing assumes delegated responsibility and accountability for the provision of resident care according to professional standards of nursing practice in compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations. Implements nursing polices and procedures that reflect the facility's mission and philosophy. Conducts education, infection control, quality assurance and admissions screening functions as assigned, utilizes resources in an efficient and economic manner to ensure that each resident achieves the highest practicable physical, mental and psycho-social well being. Supervises licensed nurses and other nursing personnel in the delivery of care and services according to each resident's comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
LICENSE:
Current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Must have no restrictions on license.
EXPERIENCE
Two years experience providing direct care to residents in long term care setting preferred. Prior experience as unit Charge Nurse or similar supervisory experience preferred. #SAG
