Yes Join Our Team - Infection Prevention & Safety Officer Cherry County Hospital is seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention & Safety Officer to lead our hospital-wide infection prevention, workplace safety, and emergency preparedness programs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient safety, employee well-being, and quality care in a rural Critical Access Hospital. Position Highlights Lead infection prevention and workplace safety initiatives Coordinate the hospital's Emergency Preparedness Program Monitor compliance with CMS, CDC, OSHA, and accreditation standards Conduct safety rounds, infection surveillance, and staff education Collaborate with leadership and clinical departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement Prepare for regulatory surveys, audits, and inspections Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Public Health, Safety, or a related field Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare safety, infection prevention, quality, or risk management preferred Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare experience preferred CIC, CHSP, CEPS, or similar certification preferred Why Join Cherry County Hospital? Requirements:
Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare, public health, safety, or related field required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare safety, infection prevention, quality, or risk management preferred. Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare environment preferred. Health and safety-related certification (e.g., CIC, CHSP, CEPS, or other relevant credential) preferred.
