Position Overview Job Type:

Schedule:

Flexible 8-hour shift or split into two 4-hour shifts (Monday-Friday)

Location:

111 S Angell St, Providence, RI 02906 Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) in compliance with CMS, CDC, and RIDOH guidelines. Conduct regular surveillance, track infection trends, and monitor antibiotic stewardship practices. Perform routine clinical audits, including hand hygiene, PPE compliance, and sanitation practices. Educate facility staff on infection prevention protocols, ongoing safety standards, and seasonal vector protocols. Maintain outbreak management plans and serve as the facility point of contact for state and federal regulatory reviews. Qualifications Active, unencumbered Rhode Island Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (skilled nursing or long-term care background preferred). Completion of CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist specialized training (or willingness to complete within 30 days of hire). Strong knowledge of CMS regulations (42 CFR § 483.80 / F-Tag 882) and RIDOH healthcare standards.
