Full Job Description Now Hiring:
Staff Development Coordinator / Infection Preventionist (SDC/IP) McKendree Post Acute and Rehab Nashville, TN We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Development Coordinator / Infection Preventionist (SDC/IP) to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality resident care through staff education, clinical training, and infection prevention practices.
Position Summary:
The SDC/IP is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all staff education programs while overseeing the facility's infection prevention and control program. This individual plays a key role in maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations and promoting a safe, healthy environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, coordinate, and conduct orientation and ongoing education for all staff Ensure competency-based training and compliance with regulatory requirements Lead and manage the Infection Prevention & Control Program Monitor, track, and report infection trends and implement corrective actions Conduct audits, surveillance, and staff observations related to infection control Collaborate with leadership to ensure best practices in clinical care and safety Maintain accurate records of training, certifications, and infection control data Stay current with CDC, CMS, and state guidelines and ensure facility compliance
Qualifications:
Current RN or LPN license in good standing Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred Prior experience in staff education and/or infection prevention strongly preferred Infection Preventionist certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong knowledge of infection control regulations and practices Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
