CyberArk Engineer #26-05779 Kansas City, MO 20% Remote Contract Starts 7/06/2026 Ends 7/06/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a CyberArk Engineer (Hybrid) position with a Government Agency in Kansas City, MO. This is a 12+ month contract-for-hire opportunity. Pay range: $56.00 - $66.00 per hour Overview Our client is seeking a skilled CyberArk Engineer to support and enhance their Enterprise Password Vault environment. This role is responsible for engineering, maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing two self-hosted CyberArk password vault environments — one on-premises and one hosted within a co-located data center. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative cybersecurity engineering team focused on privileged access management (PAM), infrastructure security, and operational resilience. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot CyberArk password vault environments Remediate vulnerabilities and support security hardening initiatives Support both on-premises and co-located data center vault infrastructure Participate in outage resolution, incident response, and root cause troubleshooting Drive installation, configuration, and engineering activities for PAM infrastructure Support privileged access management policies, controls, and operational standards Collaborate closely with infrastructure, IAM, and cybersecurity teams Participate in an on-call rotation after onboarding and training Qualifications Hands-on CyberArk engineering experience Experience in standing up, maintaining, and troubleshooting self-hosted password vault solutions Strong Windows Server administration background Broad IT infrastructure knowledge
Understanding of:
Networking fundamentals Ports and protocols Testing and validating open ports/connectivity Identity and Access Management (IAM) Privileged Access Management (PAM) policies and controls Ability to troubleshoot collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment Additional Experience Considered Candidates with strong engineering experience supporting other self-hosted vault or PAM platforms may also be considered, including: HashiCorp Vault Other privileged access management or password vault technologies What Will Not Be Considered Sufficient Experience This role requires engineering-level experience. Candidates whose experience is limited to operational or administrative support functions may not be a fit, including: Adding users to safes Maintaining safes Creating credentials Downstream operational support only Preferred Skills PowerShell scripting Perl YAML Exposure to Ansible automation Team & Environment Team of 6 engineers Agile product-focused environment Strong team morale and collaborative culture Kansas City-based team with excellent knowledge-sharing and mentorship Candidates should be self-driven andfortable taking initiative while learning Ramp-Up Expectations First 30 Days Complete online training Shadow team members Attend meetings and observe installs/configurations First 60 Days Begin handling tasks independently with guidance and review Work alongside the current on-call engineer First 90 Days Actively support installs, configurations, and troubleshooting Expected to be ready or nearly ready for on-call participation Schedule & On-Call Monday-Friday schedule 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM On-call rotation after onboarding: Current rotation: 1 week every 6 weeks Future rotation: 1 week every 7 weeks Typically light call volume (2-3 calls per week) Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
