9/21/2026 The Department of Infectious Diseases, under the mentorship of Dr. Roy Chemaly, primarily focuses on the epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of viral and respiratory infections in cancer patients. This position provides opportunities to contribute to clinically relevant research aimed at improving outcomes for immunocompromised cancer patients. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to: Collect patient data from electronic medical records. Follow patients enrolled in clinical trials. Process clinical samples. Assist with protocol development and manuscript preparation. All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• Understanding the basics of human clinical trials, including study design, study conduct and ethical considerations.
• Develop a comprehensive study protocol
• Summarizing study results into a manuscript

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• MD or equivalent medical degree

POSITION INFORMATION MD

Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000 . depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience.
