Job Description
Overview Join our innovative research and development team as a Research & Development Assistant, where your enthusiasm for food science and product innovation will drive the creation of exciting new food and beverage offerings. Responsibilities Assist in developing new product formulations by conducting experiments in laboratory settings, ensuring alignment with food safety management standards such as HACCP, GFSI, and HARPC. Support microbiological testing and analysis to verify product safety and quality in compliance with FDA regulations and GMP standards. Collect and analyze data related to ingredient functionality, sensory evaluation, and process performance to inform formulation adjustments. Participate in cross-functional communication with manufacturing, quality assurance, packaging, and regulatory teams to streamline product development processes. Conduct root cause analysis for product issues or deviations, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within food processing operations. Help prepare documentation for regulatory compliance, including technical files for new products and updates on quality systems. Contribute to sanitation protocols and verify adherence to food safety standards during laboratory experiments and production trials. Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Biochemistry, or related field; culinary experience is a plus. Demonstrated laboratory experience with microbiology techniques, formulation chemistry, or food analysis skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes within the food and beverage industry along with familiarity with FDA regulations and HACCP principles. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with data collection tools, analysis software, or sensory evaluation methods preferred.
