Promote and support the food safety focused culture with a commitment to strong team engagement, mentoring and cultural change. Maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders in the business Develop and maintain a KPI tracking tool to streamline reporting for leadership team, improving visibility into workload capacity and trial throughput. Organize and lead factory trials for new products, translating recipes into production procedures (SOPs) and assessing run rates, yields, and packing requirements. Review existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase yield while maintaining quality consistency. Create, update, and maintain detailed, accurate production specifications, including processing parameters (e.g., pH, viscosity, temperature), equipment settings, and cooking times. Ensure all trials and production runs comply with food safety legislation, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and customer-specific standards. Identify and resolve process issues during production runs. Send product samples from trials to external labs and conduct in-house sensory tests to validate shelf life and organoleptic quality. Qualifications, Skills & Experience (Essential): Degree level qualification in a science or food technology field or equivalent. Strong technical background with extensive (5+ years experience) in food manufacturing. Experience leading teams and managing non direct stakeholders. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work cohesively with all departments and key stakeholders within the business and ability to drive a Food Safety & Quality Culture. Deep knowledge of ingredient functionality, food microbiology, and unit operations (blending, heating, packing). Experience of site compliance to USDA/FDA, GFSI, customer standards. Effective project management and time management skills. Highly articulate with excellent communication skills. Dedicated with a strong work ethic & "can do" attitude. High attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team. Ability to work under pressure with pace and energy to meet deadlines. Self-driven and motivated.
