Job Description
Senior Food Scientist We are recruiting for a Senior Food Scientist at a growing gluten-free and allergen-controlled snack manufacturer. This is a hands-on role owning product development from concept through commercialization, split between the R&D lab and the production floor. You will lead formulation, bench sample development, customer collaboration, plant trials, shelf-life studies, and production start-ups. This role reports directly to the CEO and currently has one direct report, with the opportunity to add another. What you'll do: Own product development from concept through commercialization Develop formulations and bench samples Collaborate directly with customers on product development Lead plant trials and production start-ups Conduct shelf-life studies Split time between the R&D lab and the production floor What you need: 5-7+ years of food science or product development experience Salty snack product development experience preferred, such as tortilla chips, crackers, popcorn, extruded snacks, puffs, or pellet snacks Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field Strong commercialization and plant-trial experience
