Job Description

Vealey Group is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Flavorist with extensive hands-on experience in developing and formulating flavors from individual aroma chemicals for our client located in Greenville, NC. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building complex flavor profiles from raw materials to create unique and high-quality flavors for a wide range of food and oral care products.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and formulate innovative flavor profiles using individual aroma chemicals rather than relying on pre-compounded flavor bases Create and optimize flavor blends tailored to customer needs and regulatory standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and quality assurance to deliver exceptional flavor solutions Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and new aroma chemical technologies Conduct sensory evaluations and iterative testing to refine flavor formulations Ensure flavor formulations comply with all relevant food safety and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Flavorist with a strong portfolio of flavors developed from individual aroma chemicals Deep understanding of aroma chemical properties, interactions, and flavor chemistry Experience in formulating flavors for a diverse range of food products and oral care applications Knowledge of regulatory requirements for flavors in different markets (e.g., FDA, EFSA, etc.) Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to flavor creation Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field preferred

$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
