Position Overview:
Rangefront Mining Services is seeking motivated Core Logging Geologists to support an active summer exploration program for one of our valued clients in Alaska. This is a seasonal, fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) opportunity running from July through the end of August , offering the chance to work on a remote, high-impact exploration project in a world-class geological setting. This role is ideal for geologists who thrive in fast-paced exploration environments and are eager to contribute directly to drill-driven discovery and resource advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed geological logging of diamond drill core, including lithology, alteration, mineralization, structure, and geotechnical parameters. Conduct accurate core photography, sampling, and sample documentation following established QA/QC protocols. Ensure core is handled, labeled, and stored correctly to maintain data integrity. Compile, validate, and interpret geological, geochemical, and assay data. Integrate drill data into 3D geological models using industry-standard software. Work closely with senior geologists and the exploration team to support targeting and interpretation. Identify and communicate significant geological observations and trends. Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and site-specific protocols. Operate on-road and off-road vehicles safely and responsibly. Properly use PPE and promptly report hazards or unsafe conditions.
Qualifications:
Education:
B.S. in Geology or related earth science field.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of exploration core logging and sampling experience, preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
Hydrothermal alteration, sulfide mineralization, and intrusive-related systems. Familiarity with porphyry, skarn, and/or structurally controlled deposits preferred.
Software:
Experience with Leapfrog, Acquire, or similar geological software preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and data management skills. Ability to work independently in a remote exploration environment and as part of a collaborative team. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work extended hours. Previous exploration field experience preferred. Valid driver's license required. Skills & Attributes Collaborative and respectful team player; able to work effectively with camp staff, contractors, and visitors. Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and manage time effectively. Flexible and adaptable; able to take initiative in the case of an emergency. Committed to field safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. Comfortable working in and around helicopters and small fixed-wing aircraft.
