Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Field oversight for monitoring well installation programs, foundation investigations, contamination assessments, geologic site characterizations, or related projects. Perform soil and rock logging. Prepare professional logs for soil, rock, and monitoring well construction data. Install water monitoring and water quality equipment and manage the data output. Manage drilling and other related contractors per company guidelines and procedures. Interface with various customers, assist Geologist and Land Group peers to facilitate field investigations. 100% travel.SKILL SETS & EXPERTISE
Experience in executing field investigations utilizing various drilling methods and resources. Experience with soil and rock logging, monitoring well construction, groundwater monitoring, and field data reporting. Knowledge of environmental sampling and testing methods. General knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Working knowledge of gINT BoreDM Boring Log Program. Flexible computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work with limited supervision. Effective oral and written communication skills. Safety first mindset. Exhibit customer focus and conflict resolutions skills. Typical Worker/Geologist work week is 4, 10 hour days (Monday - Thursday) with some 10 day shifts. Extensive travel throughout the southeastern United States mainly Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
