Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Field Operations Geologist to join our team and lead geological field activities across diverse terrains. In this role, you will be at the forefront of exploration, environmental assessment, and remediation projects, applying your expertise to gather critical data, interpret geological formations, and support sustainable resource management. Your energetic approach will drive project success, ensuring compliance with environmental laws while advancing our understanding of subsurface conditions. Duties Conduct comprehensive field research including soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and geological mapping to collect high-quality data. Utilize advanced tools such as ArcGIS, Petra, AutoCAD, Python, MATLAB, and GIS software for geological modeling, data analysis, and visualization. Perform hydrogeological assessments to evaluate groundwater flow and contamination risks, supporting environmental remediation efforts. Interpret complex geological and geospatial data to inform project decisions and prepare detailed technical reports. Ensure environmental compliance by adhering to local environmental laws and Hazmat regulations during all field activities. Manage environmental remediation projects by coordinating field operations, tracking progress, and maintaining safety standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on construction sites to provide geological insights and mechanical knowledge for infrastructure development. Skills Proven experience in geology with strong background in field research, soil sampling, groundwater assessment, and geological modeling. Proficiency in GIS platforms such as ArcGIS and GIS software; experience with Petra is highly desirable. Skilled in data collection techniques and data interpretation for environmental and hydrogeological projects. Excellent technical report writing abilities with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and thorough documentation of findings. Knowledge of environmental law, environmental remediation project management, and environmental compliance standards. Mechanical knowledge combined with construction experience to support site operations effectively. Programming skills in Python and MATLAB for data analysis and modeling purposes.
