NOW HIRING
a GIA Graduate Gemologist to join our team! The pay rate is $25 to $30 per hour based on experience. This is a full-time position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Grade, inspect, and sort natural and lab-grown diamonds in accordance with GIA grading standards
  • Verify diamond size, color, clarity, cut, measurements, and overall quality for jewelry production, inventory, and custom projects
  • Inspect finished jewelry and luxury timepieces to ensure exceptional craftsmanship, stone security, polish, finish, and functionality
  • Place purchase orders with diamond vendors, process returns, and coordinate receiving and shipping activities
  • Collaborating with Showroom Sales, E-Commerce, Bench Jewelers, CAD Designers, Production, and Inventory to uphold Icebox Standards
  • Participate in monthly physical inventory and maintain inventory records
  • Evaluate gemstones and finished jewelry for durability, craftsmanship, stone setting, symmetry, and overall quality
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG) certification is required
  • 2+ Years of experience in grading diamonds and gemstones in a luxury jewelry environment
  • Working knowledge of jewelry construction and manufacturing, casting and fabrication and Diamond and gemstone identification
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and accountability
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume luxury retail and production environment while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
