Production Geologist Hawthorne, Nevada $95,000 - $97,000 Our client is seeking a hands-on Production Geologist to support grade control and material routing at their active mine site near Hawthorne, Nevada. This pivotal operational role ensures effective ore control, accurate data interpretation, and continuous improvement of mining performance through onsite geological support and collaboration with operations teams.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Collect blast hole cuttings samples and deliver to sample prep lab Compile assays, run grade control models, and determine ore block grades Upload data to mine plan and survey files Verify grade control mark-outs and produce daily dig maps Guide operators/supervisors on material routing to minimize dilution Conduct pit mapping of blast holes and walls Perform month-end reconciliation Contribute to portfolio prioritization and technical reporting to management
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field 1+ year experience at an operating open pit mine Strong knowledge of modelling software Surveying and assay sample preparation experience Excellent planning and organizational skills; self-motivated, team oriented
