Available Help for . CGG Services (U.S.), Inc. dba Viridien, seeks a Senior Explorationist Team Lead in Houston, TX to screen the hydrocarbon prospectivity of basins globally to evaluate the sub-surface context (remaining petroleum potential, seismic imaging challenges etc.); Assist in generating commercial projects (e.g., 3D seismic reprocessing / new acquisition) by identifying solutions for filling in the gaps in the companys petroleum system knowledge for these basins, and communicate to stakeholders why these would be of value to IOCs; Communicate effectively across multiple CGG business lines and a variety of external stakeholders (partners, governments, clients); Build/deliver/present technical marketing material to Governments, potential clients and at international conferences to support business development and marketing efforts; Devise and conduct G&G projects to enhance the value of the companys multi-client data including the carrying out of seismic interpretation, petroleum system evaluations etc. Work on developing commercial projects; Oversee G&G studies carried out by internal CGG groups and external collaborators (academia and partners) on multi-client data; Provide G&G support for business development and project promotion for all the Basins Heads globally. Up to 10% international travel based on business need.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Geoscience, Geology, or related discipline plus five (5) years of experience in a related occupation working in a geological and geophysical environment.

Skills:

Position requires experience with the following: Working with different geological settings and geographies; Generating play concepts/opportunities; Collaborating on multiple technical disciplines and projects; Performing effectively across different cultures; and Conducting work in exploration for an oil and gas operator-based company.
