Job Summary The Sr Geoscientist will demonstrate a record of varied technical exposure to many global basins & petroleum systems. They will provide geological and geophysical support for the international exploration team, including regional and sub-regional seismic interpretation, seismic mapping, qualitative / quantitative seismic interpretation as well as lead identification, prospect evaluation, and prospect maturation. The candidate should have a working knowledge of Petroleum Systems, Stratigraphy & Structural Geology. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a team-first approach, comfortable in a fast-paced environment and proficient in using seismic interpretation to generate and mature exploration concepts from regional interpretations to drill-ready prospects A firm understanding of depositional systems, comfortable and proficient with integrating large varying datasets that span an entire basin. Plus, an ability and willingness to provide operational support while drilling. A solid understanding of geologic models for resource estimation and risk application utilizing statistical software such as RoseRA is required. Additional beneficial skills include demonstrated proficiency in The Kingdom Suite and Paleoscan. This role will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work up to two (2) days a week remote. Responsibilities Exploration & Technical Evaluation Conduct regional basin and prospect-level geological and geophysical evaluations. Interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to identify, mature, and assess exploration opportunities. Generate structural, stratigraphic, and attribute-based interpretations and maps. Integrate seismic, well, geological, geochemical, and regional datasets to develop exploration concepts. Perform lead and prospect generation, maturation, risking, and resource assessments. Support development of 1D, 2D, and 3D petroleum systems models. Contribute to technical assurance reviews, portfolio assessment, and opportunity ranking. Provide geoscience support during exploration drilling operations and post-well evaluations. Business Development & Commercial Support Assess external farm-out opportunities and participate in technical discussions with partner companies. Identify and recommend strategic data acquisitions. Manage and QA/QC vendor studies and technical projects. Communication & Leadership Prepare concise, technically robust recommendations for senior management. Clearly document interpretations, risks, uncertainties, and value drivers. Participate in peer reviews, technical workshops, and multidisciplinary project teams. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline. Minimum 7 years of exploration experience, including work along the Atlantic Margins. Strong understanding of petroleum systems, structural geology, stratigraphy, and seismic interpretation. Demonstrated experience progressing opportunities from regional evaluation through prospect maturation. Experience with prospect risking, resource estimation, and uncertainty analysis. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with Kingdom Suite. Experience with Paleoscan and ArcGIS. Experience with resource and risk analysis software, including RoseRA. Experience supporting exploration drilling operations. Exposure to frontier and emerging basin exploration. Th e individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs.
