Your Opportunity This is a multi-disciplinary, entry-level water resources engineering position that requires strong knowledge of civil engineering practices and principals along with understanding and appreciation of biological and ecological science. Candidates must have a BS or MS degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Applicants for this position must have strong writing and communication skills and should be familiar with relevant civil engineering software. Your Key Responsibilities Responsibilities of this position include desktop and field studies in support of a broad spectrum of water resource engineering projects. Typical water resource engineering projects would include those with a focus on assessment and design for aquatic habitat restoration such as dam removal, culvert replacement, and stream restoration and enhancement. Typical position support roles would include writing and documentation, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and preparation of engineering design materials. This position provides substantial opportunities for collaboration with scientific disciplines as part of Stantec's holistic Environment Services program. Your Capabilities and Credentials Required skills and experience include: Strong written and verbal communications skills Drafting skills, including experience with AutoCAD software Good understanding of mathematics and engineering mechanics Ability to creatively apply technical knowledge Ability to perform fieldwork Attention to detail, positive attitude, desire to support team success Desired skills and experience include: Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Experience with surface water hydrology and hydraulics Experience working and recreating in and along waterways; Education and Experience BS or MS degree in civil or environmental engineering discipline Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Annually Pay Transparency:

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
