Pay Rate:

Our dedicated and compassionate faculty and staff are driven by a common mission: Contribute to innovative approaches in predicting, preventing, and curing diseases, shaping the future of medicine through cutting-edge research. A Postdoctoral Fellow is available in the lab of Dr. Rupangi Vasavada's lab in the Department of Translational Research and Cellular Therapeutics in the Arthur Riggs-Diabetes and Metabolism Research Institute. The lab is interested in understanding the pathophysiology of diabetes, assessing the role of extracellular vesicles in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes as well as in aging. They are targeting specific biological pathways to enhance beta cell health, testing their effects from bench to bedside, to find therapeutics to combat the disease. The lab employs a combination of cellular and molecular techniques, mouse models and patient samples to assess these areas. For more information on Dr. Vasavada's research please visit here.
Your qualifications should include:
PhD or MD with a strong interest in the areas of islet biology, diabetes and/or extracellular vesicles.
