This role involves performing complex laboratory tests and analyses to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled in laboratory procedures, and capable of working independently during overnight hours to ensure continuous laboratory services. Duties Conduct a variety of laboratory tests and procedures with precision and adherence to established protocols. Analyze biological samples such as blood, urine, and tissue specimens to identify abnormalities or disease markers. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance. Document test results accurately and prepare detailed reports for healthcare providers. Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment to prevent contamination or errors. Collaborate with medical staff to interpret test results and provide technical expertise as needed. Manage workload efficiently during night shifts to meet turnaround times without compromising quality. Stay updated on new testing methods, technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to medical laboratory science. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited institution. Certification or licensure as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (e.g., ASCP certification or equivalent) is preferred. Proven experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is advantageous. Ability to perform laboratory tests accurately during night shifts, demonstrating flexibility with working hours. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks efficiently during overnight operations. Knowledge of laboratory safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory compliance. Good communication skills to effectively document findings and collaborate with healthcare teams.
