JOB DESCPTION QUALIFICATIONS
: Graduate of a Bachelor's or Associates Degree program in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Experience preferred, but not a must Currently licensed and in good standing (or eligible to be by start date) by Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners Certified by a qualified agency (ASCP/NCA/AMT), maintaining requirements Pass basic background check for criminal history, OIG, etc. Must be able to work 2 hours or less on every 3rd Saturday
ROLE AND RESPONSBILITIES
Responsible for specimen processing, laboratory test performance, and reporting test results. Must maintain proficiency in these areas. Must follow the laboratory's procedures for testing, specimen handling and processing, as well as the quality control policies. Must follow laboratory's policies for performing and documenting maintenance, quality control, and corrective action. Have proficiency in identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results. A strong attention to detail is a must. Perform other duties as required and assigned by the Lab Manager
OTHER BASIC SKILLS
Knowledge of EMR / Laboratory Information Systems General proficiency working with computers and data analysis Strong communication skills and professional demeanor Ability to work independently when required / appropriate
