Position:
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) /
Clinical Chemist Hours:
30-40 hours per week (weekend availability required) Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Clinical Chemist to join our growing laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical laboratory testing, sample preparation, and data analysis, with a strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and efficiency. Duties Prepare urine and oral fluid specimens for laboratory analysis. Perform screening using the Beckman Coulter AU680 chemistry analyzer. Prepare and analyze samples using
LC-MS/MS
instrumentation. Analyze laboratory data, review results for accuracy, and identify trends or discrepancies. Follow laboratory SOPs, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements. Accurately document and maintain laboratory records. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate test results. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field is required. Master's degree in Chemistry, Clinical Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field is preferred. Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/ASCP) certification is preferred. Clinical Chemists and candidates with strong chemistry laboratory experience are encouraged to apply. Experience with Beckman Coulter AU680 and/or
LC-MS/MS
instrumentation is preferred. Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret laboratory results accurately. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
