Weekend Requirements:

Every Other Responsibilities Conduct a variety of laboratory tests including clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunoassays, flow cytometry, PCR, ELISA, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood banking procedures. Manage specimen collection and processing with strict adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, analyzers, microscopes, and blood sampling devices. Implement laboratory quality control protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency of test results. Analyze data generated from laboratory assays using laboratory information management systems (LIS) and data analysis tools. Interpret diagnostic test results accurately for clinical relevance and communicate findings clearly to healthcare providers. Ensure compliance with CLIA regulations and hospital policies while maintaining detailed documentation in laboratory information systems. Support clinical trials by preparing samples, executing specialized assays, and documenting experimental procedures. Assist in laboratory management tasks including inventory control, equipment calibration, and staff training. Maintain a safe working environment by following proper biosafety procedures and infection control measures. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field; certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or equivalent is preferred. Proven experience working in clinical laboratories with knowledge of laboratory procedures across multiple disciplines such as hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry testing, and cytotechnology. Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS), Laboratory Management Systems (LMS), and data management tools. Strong understanding of CLIA regulations and laboratory quality assurance practices. Hands-on experience with medical laboratory equipment operation including analyzers, flow cytometers, PCR machines, and blood bank instruments. Proficiency in specimen collection techniques such as venipuncture (phlebotomy) and blood sampling procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic test interpretation. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in hospital or research settings.
