Department of Biomedical Data Science Location Lebanon, NH Open Date Aug 01, 2026 Description The research team of Dr. Madelyn Frumkin is seeking a motivated postdoctoral scholar to join our dynamic and interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work on a 5-year, NIH-funded project focused on leveraging multimodal digital health data to improve understanding, prediction, and treatment of postoperative pain. The work sits at the intersection of translational pain science, psychological science, and data science. The postdoctoral scholar will have opportunities to lead secondary analyses of existing intensive longitudinal data sets, assist with the collection and management of multimodal digital health data, mentor graduate and undergraduate trainees, and advance their independent program of research. The successful candidate may also contribute to other projects in the lab, including the design and evaluation of digital interventions for chronic pain and chronic illnesses (e.g., cancer-related distress). The lab is housed within the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (CTBH), a P30 "Center of Excellence" funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. CTBH has numerous opportunities for training and mentorship in digital health, novel data analytic methods, manuscript preparation, grant writing, and more. Qualifications Required qualifications:

1. Candidates must have a PhD in psychology, data science, computer science, engineering, or a related field. 2. Candidates must be proficient in quantitative data analysis, as evidenced by a track record of publications and/or presentations. 3. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills. 4. Candidates must be willing to work primarily in Lebanon, NH.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1. Experience analyzing ecological momentary assessment and/or passive physiological data using R and/or Python. 2. Clinical or research experience in the fields of chronic pain, mental health, and/or substance use disorders. 3. Interest or experience in digital app design and deployment.
