Description Medical Laboratory Scientist at Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, Oregon. Part Time/Night Shift The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision.
MT/CLS JRN
personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties. Providence caregivers are not simply valued- they're invaluable.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS-accredited MLS program or Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist- American Society for Clinical Pathology or Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist
- American Society for Clinical Pathology or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist
- American Society for Clinical Pathology or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist
- American Medical Technologists or Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist
- American Medical Technologist 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a laboratory department or performing duties that meet or exceed those in the MLS I job description
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of clinical laboratory experience in a moderate- and high-complexity laboratory Why Join Providence?
