The Developer will work in the Biochemical Genetics Lab on Hilton 3 Responsibilities include: Develops, innovates, evaluates, and implements novel/new tests, methodologies, technologies, or products for the laboratory under the intellectual and scientific guidance of laboratory directors and [DT3]. Responsible for improvement of existing methods or implementation of novel technology of proven validity within the work unit. Organizes new method validation data, prepares data for publication and peer review, and participates in formal presentations. Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to apply to other positions within Mayo Clinic. •This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship; Also, Mayo Clinic

extension program. Qualifications To be considered for the Developer position, you must meet the following qualifications. Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science (CLS/MLS), medical technology (MT), chemistry, or a biological science, and 2 years of relevant laboratory experience, OR Bachelor's degree and a certificate in MLS, and 2 years of relevant laboratory experience. A HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree. Other clinical laboratory specialty certificates will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis. Additional Qualifications Experience with the following platforms: LC-MSMS, GC-MSMS, and HPCL is preferred. Master's degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology or Doctoral degree (PhD) in chemistry or a biological science preferred. Self-motivated, highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently exercising strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Capable of reproducing a reference method using available procedures without supervision. Demonstrated analytical and scientific competency with development and/or validation of lab techniques or procedures. Experience with data collection, organization, analysis and delivery of information. ASCP or other certification pertinent to the laboratory field may be required depending on the laboratory specialty and prevailing regulatory requirements. Potential for some intermittent remote work as projects allow. Weekend Schedule No regularly scheduled weekends but could possibly be required based on specific project needs.
