The core mission of the Division is to discover the biological basis of inter-patient variability in drug effects and translate this knowledge into precision medicine for children with catastrophic diseases. The Division currently comprises 12 laboratory-based principal investigators, including three members of the National Academy of Medicine, with more than $7 million in NIH funding annually. It also houses the Center for Translational Pharmacology and the Pharmacotyping Resource. This newly created position is part of the departmental strategic plan to grow our programs in pharmacogenomics and therapeutic sciences, which is supported by substantial institutional commitments in resources and space. We are interested in experimental biologists at the interface of (or with a primary focus on) one of the following areas: experimental therapeutics, molecular pharmacology, and functional genomics. We also welcome applications from data scientists using population genomics and EHR/biobank-driven approaches to study drug-related traits.
