Opportunity:
- The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) John Sealy School of Medicine in Galveston is seeking a full-time Pediatric Endocrinology Physician-Scientist at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- This full-time academic role combines clinical care, teaching and research within a collaborative health system.
The successful candidate will:
+ Join a multidisciplinary team to support the institutional clinical, educational and research missions. + Provide comprehensive pediatric endocrinology care across inpatient and outpatient settings. + Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows. + Lead the development of a clinical and/or basic research program within the Division of Endocrinology.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Practitioner registration. + U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S. + Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education. + Demonstrated clinical and/or basic science research productivity.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- + Three or more years of post-fellowship clinical experience in Pediatric Endocrinology. + Prior academic experience in resident and medical student education. + Current transferable funded research.

- Salary will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience. The position includes a provision for dedicated research time. In addition, UTMB offers a superior benefits package, including an excellent retirement program and a relocation allowance.
