Multiple shift and schedule options are available.
Essential Functions:
Independently performs waived, moderate, and/or highly complex laboratory testing in accordance with established SOPs and demonstrated competency requirements. Operates, calibrates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instruments and equipment. Identifies equipment issues requiring professional service and coordinates service requests or escalates concerns to the supervisor as appropriate. Performs required quality control (QC) procedures and maintains accurate QC records and documentation in accordance with laboratory and regulatory requirements. Follows established procedures for specimen collection, handling, transport, identification, and documentation. Processes and verifies laboratory data for accuracy and enters results into the laboratory information system (LIS) in a timely manner, including appropriate explanatory or interpretive information when required. Monitors QC activities and assists with data collection and tracking of Quality Assurance (QA) indicators as assigned. Performs internal and external proficiency testing in accordance with laboratory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), MT (AAB), or MLS (AMT) certification.
