is looking for our next Chief Meteorologist. The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering engaging weather content on digital and social media as well as television. You will create and present forecasts and issue warnings on all platforms. The main day to day responsibilities of the role will include… Forecasting, Producing and Presenting clear and concise weather casts, which tell a story and connect with viewers Issue warnings, alerts, produce graphics and maps during weather events that keep the audience informed Create engaging weather content for digital, Youtube and social media Make public appearances on behalf of the station Work with producers to determine relevant weather content in breaking and everyday situations What skills do you need to be successful in our role? In-Depth Knowledge of forecasting Knowledge of Idaho weather preferred Sharp news judgement and exceptional writing skills Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks Ability to produce impactful content for social media Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
