Full Job Description RedTown Technical Services, LLC Description:
RedTown Technical Services, LLC has a full-time opening for a Meteorologist at the U.S. Army Garrison-Kwajalein Atoll Reagan Test Site in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. This position is located at the Kwajalein Weather Station and requires relocation to Kwajalein Island. This is an unaccompanied position; dependents are not authorized for relocation under this position. Pets are prohibited during the relocation process. This includes service animals or emotional support animals.Benefits of this position include:

The island has a population of approximately 1,500 people and offers a wide range of recreational activities, including scuba diving, sailing, fishing, soccer, softball, clubs, and community organizations. The island also has a library, modern gym, grocery stores, bowling alley, and other facilities. Role and Responsibilities Provide weather forecasts for the Kwajalein Atoll region using satellite imagery, weather radar, surface observations, numerical weather prediction output, and other available datasets. Issue weather warnings, watches, and advisories. Provide meteorological support for mission operations, including preparation of post-mission analysis reports. Support development, improvement, and integration of weather station processes and procedures. Work collaboratively with forecasters, mission personnel, and technical staff in an operational environment.Requirements:
Required Qualifications B.S. degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, or related engineering or scientific field. A minimum of 5-7 years of forecasting experience. U.S. citizenship Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to relocate to Kwajalein Island and work in a remote island environment Desired Qualifications Master's degree in meteorology or equivalent experience Experience in tropical meteorology and forecasting Experience interpreting Doppler and dual-polarization weather radar data Experience with satellite weather interpretation Experience with Linux operating system Programming or scripting experience, including Python, C, shell scripting, or similar languages Current active security clearance Experience supporting military, aviation, range, or mission-critical weather operations Salary Range $26- 33 per hour, approximately $54,080
